Friday:
-Finished work and class by 11 a.m., and read in one of the comfy chairs in the library, drank a can of Pepsi, and took a nap, all before meeting up with Charlotte for lunch.
-Tried to give blood. My iron level was too low, though. This happened another time I tried to donate. Lame. I really wanted the free t-shirt.
-Watched two movies with Charlotte and Josh. (my friend, Josh, not her boyfriend, Josh.) I finally got a Charlotte night because her Josh was out of town. Yes! While we were watching, I made myself some real food (by "real food" I mean that I cooked some noodles, heated up the rest of my Target brand pasta sauce, and made biscuits.) and finished the scarf that I started making as a Christmas present for Charlotte. Now it is an early Valentine gift.

Charlotte and I posed for a self portrait in our matching ruffle scarves. Charlotte
's even happened to go with the shirt she was wearing!
Saturday:
-Cleaned the bathroom. Used a ton of Clorox cleanup. A ton. I only clean the bathroom every couple of cleaning checks, and I trust my cleaning skills far beyond those of my roommates. My roommates clean with paper towels and the 409 from under the sink. When it's my turn, I go to town.
-Went grocery shopping. My especially tight budget of late means stringent planning and shopping each week. I buy a weeks worth of food, planning out lunches as I shop. Awesome friend Josh gave me a ride, even though he didn't have any shopping to do himself! Friends are such a gift.
-Prepared my relief society lesson. The topic was time management, and I benefited a lot from reading talks from the apostles and studying this subject.
-Mom sent me and Charlotte 7-11 gift cards, so we got Big Gulps. (We would have gone for
BG's that afternoon anyway, but swiping the card from Mom made it all the more enjoyable. I can't wait to go again!)
Sunday:
-Church was great. Inspired by Jill and Michelle, I have been taking notes in all of my meetings, and I love seeing what stands out to me. I love knowing that I can learn from any lesson.
-Wonderful friend Dan let me borrow his van to get up to Michelle's house Sunday afternoon. I got to spend all evening and night with her family and I loved it. I love being with family. When I first got there, Michelle gave me a hug and I immediately felt happy. I am so glad that we are friends.
Monday:
-I got good mail from my family in Texas! Thank you,
Petersens, for making my day. I came home to an envelope stuffed with four sets of knitting needles in various sizes, Swedish Fish, Junior Mints, fruity gum, silicon rolling mats, and a book called "When Bad Things Happen to Good Knitters." I got distracted reading the book when I should have been reading for class, and I can't wait to see what wisdom is to be gleaned from this guide.

I am itching for this weekend, when I get to knit, make Valentines cookies with Michelle, and make and deliver my own paper Valentines. I just have to resist the urge to knit and paper craft in lieu of studying until then.
