'tis the season

Yup, it's November, which means a long-awaited reunion with my beloved Christmas tree. Last Sunday, I pulled out my bags of ribbons and tied them into a cheerful, multi-textural garland.

Next came the sparkly baubles and snowflakes, doubled up on ornament hooks.

After a final primp of the greenery and placement of cheerful sprig on top of the tree, my festivity was in full swing.
*When do your decorations go up?
**Have you started listening to Christmas music yet?

My boxes of decos are coming out of the garage at the end of the week--I'm sure Dad can hardly wait to start pulling them down from the rafters.

I started listening to Christmas music a little later than usual this year, though not on purpose. I just got thrown out of my groove with wedding, trip to PA, etc.

Our decorations usually go up the Sunday after Thanksgiving, but they may be going up the Sunday before Thanksgiving this year because it never feels like they're up long enough.

I can't listen to Christmas music yet though, I just can't. Though we did sing "O Come All Ye Faithful" in primary on Sunday and that was wonderful.

I usually do my decos the day after Thanksgiving. I think this year for the first time I may put them up before Thanksgiving.

I have listened to Christmas music in the car on the radio, but haven't pulled out my cds yet.

Your little tree looks very festive! The ribbon garland is so you.

Ah, yes. The ribbon garland is perfect for the style maven! I am pretty full of Christmas decos, after putting up the store with your mom...a mere 100 hours of work for me in one week. Ugh.

I'll have to get my courage up in order to put up any at my house. Hm. Your mom and I always say that we are going to try to put up one tree for me when she comes to help with my client setups. We'll see.

Fa la la la la, la la la la.

I already decorated for Christmas. Cleo, our kitty, has done an excellent job of undecorating for us. The Christmas music came out a long time ago. I love your tree!
