I'm Alive!

My recent blogging break was due to severe tunnel vision leading up to Thanksgiving Break. I'm back from break now, and working on getting through the end of my classes and finals, so that in just 14 short days I can return home, hopefully satisfied with my grades and ready to forget about everything else but being home with my family.

Last week was wonderful because I was able to do all the things with my family and in my home that I don't get to do here.

I was goofy with my siblings!

I mopped!

I hugged my family and smelled Mom's perfume again!

I ate a lot of really good food!

I listened to hours of Christmas music, free from roommates who think it's too early in the season!

I also:
-watched the tv shows that my family has been saving on our DVR, which primarily included hours and hours of "House."
-went to Costco with Mom and Grandma.
-did some Christmas and personal shopping. (At the Banana Republic Factory Store by our house, everything was 50% off, and I did have to keep myself from splurging too much.)
-sat on real couches that don't have hard wooden beams in them.
-didn't do any of the reading I brought with me.
-wore warm, cozy pajamas because I was sleeping where it actually gets pleasantly chilly at night.
-benefited from my Mom's laundry day, and I didn't have to swipe my card to start the machines.
-had time to iron all my clothes, and came home with a crisp stack of freshly ironed jeans. Ahh, the luxury.

I LOVE BEING HOME!

Ahh, your Mom's perfume... years ago when my 1st was a tiny baby, my mom and I took him over to see your mom (w/o Chris's knowledge). When we got home, Chris picked him up and without missing a beat said "you smell like Denise!" lol

Maybe you had to be there ;)

P.S. Chris's paranoia may be rubbing off on me, but you might want to take your address off. :)

I was going to say the same thing about the address.

Ahh--the mopping day! Thanks again for the morale boost. It was so much fun to have you home--Christmas can't come soon enough!

It was so good to see you when I walked in the door! It felt so good and normal to me. I can't wait to see you again at christmas. Hang in there through finals!!! :)

It's so great that the gap between Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks is so very small!

I LOVE House.

I sure wish I could excited about mopping my floors, Emily. Maybe you should share what kind of mop you use -- I've never found one I like.

It was pretty much amazing to the max. And the next break we have won't be full of thinking about homework :)

I don't see our address anywhere on the page, so unless I'm completely blind, you took it off. Good idea.

Very soft and pleasant post!

Not long before you'll be home again, and for a bit longer.

You're too cute!

Don't feel bad about your break from blogging homeslice, I haven't had much time either. I'm so glad that you got to do so many of your favorite things and be with your family! Sounds like you had such a great break!
